Tips on how to clean your glass shower
Want your fameless glass shower from Showerhouse to last as long as you live in your home? Keep your shower looking great for years to come!
Age does not need to be a factor in how the shower looks. The thing that really makes a difference is how well the shower is cared for.
The first tip to keep a shower looking new is to not let hard water scale build up. Hard water scale stains are one of the easiest things to prevent, most people overlook their importance in keeping a nice looking shower. Here are a few things you can do to prevent hard water scale stains in your shower.
The first is to invest in a squeegee and use it after every shower. By squeegeeing the water from the glass walls and tiles you will remove any chance that hard water stains will form. If you don’t like using a squeegee, you can also simply use a microfiber towel to wipe down the glass walls and door.
If you have hard water where you live and you do not clean the shower after showering the glass will usually be covered in a combination of hard water deposits and soap scum. If this is the case you can mix your own cleaner to clean your glass and it will look like new.
- 1 cup of warm vinegar
- 1 cup of Dawn dish washing detergent
Mix both liquids together in a spray bottle.
Spray the mixture onto the glass and scrub with a scouring sponge. You don't have to scrub hard the scum will come off easily! Use clean water to wipe off the soap suds and give the glass a final wipe. Your shower will look as good as new! It is also important to wipe the hardware with a dry cloth.
